This is my first real indie project that I deployed after leaving my full-time job at LovelySkin.
Before Covid hit, I had picked up a side gig as a trivia host in Nebraska. I would show up to a few local gastropubs, and run a recurring trivia night that would encourage regulars to keep coming back weekly.
Local Beer & Patio, Where I Hosted Trivia At
After I moved to Wilmington, I had a really hard time finding trivia nights that were happening in the city. In Omaha, one company basically ran them all (and you would just check their website), but in Wilmington, I was relying on a years old Reddit post. Being outdated, half the locations had ended up closing down during the pandemic.
So, I thought there was an opportunity here. Create a directory site, get some traffic to it, and find a way to tie revenue to it.
Still working on the revenue piece (I have some ideas and things in the works), but the traffic is going well. Check out my public analytics here.
